Slip, Slide & Glide: Winter Cross-Country Ski Extravaganza

The day Oregon forgot it was a ski destination and transformed into an impromptu ice rink competition! Our cross-country adventure quickly devolved into a family-wide contest for 'Most Spectacular Wipeout' as we perfected the rarely-seen sport of unintentional snow angels. Dad's confident 'I skied in college!' claims were immediately disproven by his gravity-defying backward somersault that had nearby children asking if he was a circus performer. Meanwhile, Mom glided past with suspicious grace, conveniently 'forgetting' to mention her secret high school Nordic team experience until we spotted her perfectly executed herringbone technique on the steepest hill.
