Boundary Waters Canoe Adventure with Cole

Cole's first-ever Minnesota adventure went straight into beast mode with 5 nights and 4 days of pure Boundary Waters action. Before and after hauling packs and canoes over countless gnarly portages, we made sure he got the full Minnesota tour—the epic cliffs of Lake Superior, cruising the scenic North Shore, and diving into the metro area madness. In the BWCA, we powered through every rocky climb and muddy hill like absolute machines. Mother Nature threw her full Minnesota arsenal at us—thick fog that turned the lakes into something out of a thriller movie, overcast days built for crushing miles, and then BAM—one absolutely perfect sunny day where we couldn't resist jumping in the lake (except Dave, whose legendary pale legs remain undefeated). We landed fish after fish, releasing them all to grow bigger while we powered through our dehydrated meals like champs. The whole trip was peak BWCA—dawn paddles through fog so thick you could cut it while loons went absolutely mental, portages that tested our limits, and that incredible high you get from pushing through and coming out stronger on the other side.
